WOOllEY University of San Francisco EDITORIAL NOTICE THE WASMANN JOURNAL OF BIOLOGY, called The Wasmann cot-lector prior to Volume 8, is published by the University of San Francisco two times a year, the Spring and Fall issues coinciding with the corre-sponding scholastic sessions. Contributions may deal with any field of academic biology and must be based on original research or observation. All papers are accepted with the understanding that they are to be published exclusively in this journal. No arbitrary limitation is placed on the length of contributions; illustrations are ordinarily paid for by the author or the institution which he represents. Manuscripts are marked with the date on which they are received and are published in approximately this sequence except incases of contributions by authors associated with the University of San Francisco, who are given priority. The sequence is also affected somewhat by subject matter.' SUBSCRIPTIONS. The subscription rate is $5.00 per year, United States currency. The price for single copies is $2.50. EXCHANGES. Communications relative to establishing exchanges with other biological [ournala are soltctted and should be addressed to the CirculatioIl. Manager. ADVERTISEMENTS. A Hmited number of appropriate advertilile. ments will be accepted for the back pagea. Rates wUl be furnililhEldby the Advertising Manager on request. SEPARATES. Each author is supplied with 100 separates of his paper without cost, these to be divided if the contribution has more than one author. These separates are stapled and trimmed, possess no extraneous material, but are without covers. Additional copies, in the form of reprints, !:pay be purchased cUrectly from the printers, whose addrelils is given below. PROOFS. Galley proofs and engraver's proofs, together with the man. uscript, are sent to the author for approval. Proofs should be corrected promptly and returned immediately, with the manuscript, to the Editor. ABSTRACT. Each author is requested to prepare an abstract of his paper for publication in Biological A.bstracts. A special form for this purpose is forwarded to the author with the separates of his paper.
