Created by Tsunejiro Tanaka at Poston. Father of Walter Tanaka (WWII MIS Veteran), Tsunejiro Tanaka owned / operated a vegetable / fruit stand/store in the early 1920s in San Luis Obispo. During incarceration, Mr. Tanaka, Sr. and some friends were called ''Yama Arashi (scouragers of the desert).'' They carried gallons of water, axes and saws through the hot desert, cutting and packing ironwood to bring back to camp for use in woodworking projects.
